The Basics of Sitting Workshop

There are four rules to the basics of sitting. These four rules are your ABCs for the basics of sitting. Sitting is more stressful than standing or lying. By applying the basics of sitting, you're now properly sitting in a chair. All of us sit quite a lot. Learn how to sit properly. Save yourself from being stressed while you sit.

If you sit for seven hours a day, that’s 29% of your life that you’re sitting. If we put all of that sitting time together, then every year you’d be sitting for 24 hours a day until April 17th. On April 17th, you could finally get up and you wouldn’t have to sit any more during that year. Over 70 years, it adds up to 21 solid years of just sitting. That is how much time you sit. And many people sit a lot longer than seven hours a day. If you add in seven hours a night in bed, then you'd be done with both your sitting and sleeping for the year on August 1. Then you'd be able to get on with the rest of your life. The two activities of sitting and sleeping take up the majority of your life. Do them well and you'll feel much better.
